Nothing screams “MERRY CHRISTMAS” like a 60 ft ChristmasTree

There is so much to be said, and yet none of it comes to mind.

The logical place to start off would simply be at the end of my previous post, and given my extreme lazyness, lack of motivation and my eyes seeing spots of darkness lets begin ….

Of course, my new job is the big news as of late. I was told from my previous employer that I’d be laid off as of the first of the new year and with no funds in the bank, the highest unemployment rate in 16 years and the holidays fast approaching I was worried. Perhaps worried isn’t the right word, I was well past worried. Well past stressed …. well past the point of no return.

Luckily after tons and tons of phone calls, what felt like a hundred resumes emailed and even more voicemails and emails I was able to land a job. 17 days to be exact. Not one actually …. but two! I won’t go into great detail, but one offered alot more money. When I say alot, I mean alot. Only problem was it was for Echostar. Do you remember my horrific journey’s with echostar? The other job is literally 4 minutes away from home. It’s within a smaller company where I’d have a real impact and furthermore, it seems like a good place to work.

It’s got other perks, for example, I get to use linux even though everybody there uses Windows. I think they were somewhat impressed with how quickly and how well I was able to get everything going, and how seemless and sexy I was able to get my Ubuntu going. On top of that, during my lunch break, I can go to the gym.

I’ve been going at least 3 times a week. I’m hoping when life settles down(aka after Christmas) that I’ll be able to go for a little longer but we’ll see. I’m not going to go all crazy which is what I typically do.

I really like the new job, however you never now, and I’ve learned to get my nest egg up so I can be ready financially for anything. Of course, it’s easier said than done.

I’ve got so much on my mind. I’m just tired. Very tired. I need to get to bed sooner rather than later but wanted to let everybody know I was doing ok.

Merry Christmas Ozweegans.

Merry Christmas! Glad to see you’re doing fine. Congratulations on the new job…just in the nick of time, I’m reading. And if I’m absent, late or busy (read as lazy)…Happy New Year.
