Have you noticed the new site? I spent a whopping hour online scouring for a better, “busier” template, and I think it suites me just fine. I spent another 10 hours customizing it. /grumble. You’ll notice a few main sections, all of which I wanted to point out before going any further.

• Headlines – Basically the eye catcher as you enter the site. I’ll be posting blog worthy events and well, headlines here. For example, if you came by the last few days, you would have noticed I blogged about me and my pops fishing trip …. that’s it’s own blog worthy, so …. I’ll be publishing it there. So, the headline section is where only eye catching stuff will go and here is the IMPORTANT part. Not all blogs will be posted to the headline/featured part of the site. Take alook BELOW the categories section to see the rest of the “normal blogs”. I know, confusing eh?
• Featured – This section I reserved for writings, posts, code, jokes … or whatever I think stands above the rest. AKA, usually in my opinion would be a “good read”, if I can say so myself.
• Categories – Speaks for itself, just a way to narrow down the topic of interest. I am ever expanding my repertoire. Here is a brief summary of each category:
  • the blog – normal everyday blog, what your used of seeing.
  • code snippets – some of my open source projects I’ll be working on. I’ll add more as time becomes available.
  • photos – when time arises, I will be writing posts about photos I’ve taken(which the latest post I write will be the ‘featured photo’ on the right). I’ll describe in hopefully, great detail and give a photo at least a thousand words.
  • featured – I notice when people come here, they only see what I’ve posted for that day. As time allows, I’ll go through and hack out my better pieces of literature so everybody can see my mad skillz, or lack thereof.
  • the past- an archive of my blog. Posts dating back past a certain time period will be labeled ‘in the past’.

So I hope that makes sense …. and again, I think the thing I wanted to get out there was this. Look below for my ‘regular’ blog postings. Subscribe to my new rss feed, and enjoy.
