It’s been a while. I’d love to sit here and say that the reasons are for just and worthy causes but I think it amounts to lack of time and lazyness. Perhaps a mixture of both, perhaps even neither. So much has been happening since I last wrote, I’m not even sure where to begin.

So, I figure I’ll start with my parents trip to The Mile High City. I think/hope we all had a good time. I introduced all 4 puppies to dog parks where. That was interesting to say the least. Me and my pops went to the mountains and the ladies did a ton of shopping. The Olympics were on, and as usual, our eyes and ears were glued to the television. I was able to show my parents around town for the first time, and I think they finally got a peek at the big city life. Working downtown has it’s pros and cons, however, I think it was a bit overwhelming for my folks. Although I do believe they enjoyed it thoroughly, culture shock is really the only thing that comes to mind.

Speaking of downtown. It’s the DNC, and it’s been CRAZY. Maybe CRAZY is an understatement. Protests after protests. Cops in riot gear. It’s a madhouse. Working off the corner of 16th and Champa, I get to work in the mornings and I feel a little mad. At first I thought, well, this is going to be great, and I’m going to love the crazies, however, this takes the cake.

We’ll see. I suppose I am just mad knowing that as a once stout obama supporter(I still am by the way, just not as much as I once was) that my dime is helping to pay for all the loonies to come out. 50 Million dollars of federal money given to the DNC/RNC for security purposes. /ugh! It’s crazy … and to think that 90% of the tourists using our transit systems are not paying their ticket fares. /ugh. It’s crazy! I guess the thing that bites the most, is knowing that neither candidate will do anything to better our country. At this point, it’s like choosing between a turd sandwhich and a douche bag. It’s a big shit pie, and we all get a big juicey slice.

Well, I could write for a really long time, but I figure I’ll leave it at that. I did want to leave you with a great song, and also, a commercial that gives me goosebumps. With this commercial, and the discovery channel commercial that I previously posted about, It makes me want to watch commercials again.
