The Head Fake.
Every now and then something will transpire that will make you see the world through a different lens. Good, bad or indifferent, these lenses are permanently affixed to the way we see life. My lenses are just like yours, it affects my daily actions, my interactions and my inactions. All of them connected in one way or another, and all of them shaping my life and my future experiences.
Experiences. Lenses. Both interchangeable. Both shape the way we see life.
I had a grand entry planned today but instead, I figured I’d let you watch them.
- My first church service
It’s been almost 2 years ago since my first service….. For those that know me, know my rants and raves with GOD. My bitterness, my downright hatred of the church and of GOD. As I sat and watched this service, I was very bitter. My hatred was fueled, but the man spoke truth. Its taken me 13 years to move under the umbrella of grace. I couldn’t help but listen, he’s a great speaker, and it’s a me too place. I really admire and respect that. My first church service in a church that accepts “Stinky People“, and quite frankly, the ONLY church I’ve been too that accepts stinky people. When I was younger, I had a few people in my life that just cemented my beliefs in why I didn’t believe. Why I realized that church wasn’t for me. I’ve watched every message to date … and I make it a part of my routine(except today, I know, pray for me …..) to go to Church and Chinese on Saturdays.
Me Too.
- The Last Lecture.
Randy was a professor at Carnegie Mellon, and he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Doctors only gave him 3-6 months to live. Apparently at the end of each semester professors were chosen to tell their students about final thoughts about life and tips and trips ect … , as if it was their last lecture. Sadly, it was to be his “last lecture”. Randy died yesterday, and I have to say, I do appreciate his life’s lessons that he’s shared. May he rest in peace.
Both videos are lengthy. Promise me you’ll watch them both. Maybe it may change some lenses in your life?
