I’ll take the good and deal with the bad.

“Side mis mayones gustos mi
dugustos han nacido,
Gustos al cielo le pido,
A unque me westen disgustos”
- Sor Juana Ines De La Cruz

“If major happiness from my
unhappiness has been born
I ask heaven for happiness
Even if it costs me unhappiness.”

“I’ll take the good and deal with the bad”.

We learned this at my spanish class, and the first was a rough paragraph taken from my notes. The second is translated into English, and the third was how it was described to me.   We used childbirth as an example, given the term “born” was used.  Childbirth would cause great happiness, but would be unhappy during the actual pregnancy. Of course, I found my own similarities to other aspects of my life. I think that’s why this poem hit me with such enthusiasm like it did. Speaking of enthusiasm, I have NO IDEA how I came across this, but I did … and it really impressed me. This guy seems like a great teacher, one that I wished I had when I was a kid. I think I spent all of this past weekend watching all of his VLOGS. Good Guy.

It was really good for me to learn this poem at Spanish class, and it was really good to see decent human beings. Not just the gentleman described above, but just some people in general. Very honest, open genuine people.

Of course I think with every ying, there is a yang. For every heaven there is a hell and for every positive there is a negative.

So my laptop was stolen at work the other day … It’s a long story, but I figured I’d post it. Hopefully I don’t get into any sort of legal trouble. I don’t want any run ins with the law.

A few days before christmas my boss sent his laptop in to the apple store to get his computer fixed. The logic board broke on it, and given it was the holidays, they had to ship the part to the genius bar and that would have taken a few weeks. I preface this story with that, because while his laptop was gone, instead of buying a new laptop I just let him borrow mine. Of course, this gave me enough time to setup my desktop in my living room and hook it up to my tv so it wasn’t all that bad. So, boss had my laptop.

We were in a different room, we hear our door click and because we do not have a line of site, and come to find out, somebody snuck into the office WHILE WE WERE THERE, and *POOF* gone. The strange thing was all the equipment that was on the desk that was not stolen. An ipod that was still in the case, a phone ect …

It was certainly a planned job. I think. I also think they stole the laptop for identity theft purposes.

/ugh. Luckily for me(and I’m being selfish, I know I’m going to hell for this), it was my bosses hard drive. I just feel bad … although I think I’m the only one who thinks it was taken for that reason! I dunno … police report it ect …

So now it’s down to my decision as to what laptop I’ll be buying. The insurance money will only cover a portion of a new laptop so I have some decisions to make.

Do I take the plunge and go for a macbook pro? Or a new dell? Leave me some comments folks … I need some emotional/mental support!

That is a really weird story. This happened at work? Crazy.

Given that I bought my last laptop on the merit of its weight, I’m not sure I can give you any advice. Depends a bit on what you want to use your computer for.

Yea, it happened at work. Now everybody is kind of spooked. I mean, what if when we looked outside, the culprit was hiding under a desk or something? We don’t know, just paranoid I guess.

As for the laptop, it has to be able to play my select video games, and furthermore has to have the possibility for upgrades, which means it’s got to be a semi-decent machine.

/ugh. anyways … I’m not complaining about looking for a new computer, in fact I feel like a kid in a candy shop, but financially it sucks.

    Thanks for the feedback.
