Are you serious? What will they think of next.

I swear … So I’m sitting here watching the NLCS game and a commercial for a product called “Ambien CR”. I’m not even kidding, this was one of it’s reported side effects.

Sleepwalking, and eating or driving while not fully awake, with amnesia for the event, have been reported.”

Driving while not fully awake …lol, oh man. How do these products get past the FDA? Your guess is as good as mine.

This weekend was somewhat wasted. It all started on Thursday, I left my debit card at Chili’s and instead of taking any chances I just decieded to be safe and cancel it. Of course, no cash means I couldn’t do any laundry, which happened to be my number one focus this weekend. So now my clothes in all it’s fury(and by fury I mean sitting on my floor standing taller than the rocky mountains itself) are left to sit for next weekend. Friday night i decieded to run a little longer than normal. Normally I go for a mile or two, but feeling a bit like Forest I just kept running. I’m not sure how far I went, but I do know I ran for a good hour. I got home, ready to begin my Saturday only to wake up unable to move, sore throat and body aching. Miserable. Needless to say I took my time getting ready, I had quite a few of the most relaxing, hottest showers I’ve ever had. I had to pick up a couple pairs of jeans. Denver weather is getting a bit more than just “Chilly”. I was able to see my breathe today.

So besides sleeping and sleeping, watching the NLCS game, I’m one level away from beating Halo. Next, Halo 2 … and depending on how long that takes me I may just wait and see if I can get it as a Christmas gift. /sigh.

I’ve been pretty frustrated with myself as of late. Nothing in particular, however for the first time in my life, I’m starting to see what disappointment really is. It’s pretty sad, but just another slump I’d imagine.

Anyways, I need to … well, I don’t need to do anything … I’m just going.
Night,

Give me a kiss Bagio.

It always happens. Whether it be visiting my sister, or my folks house, I always return to home feeling like a changed person. I’ve always wanted some family structure, some rhyme or reason to my day, some sort of order to my life. Mostly it’s just chaos, although ordered chaos as it may be, it’s chaos none the less. So when I get back from vacation I always try making promises to myself. Wake up earlier, go to work earlier, get off earlier, come home, have a regular routine, clean up after yourself, do the small things in life that make it more memorable, get things marked off your to-do list.

Essentially after every trip I come home with every intention to do the inevitable.

Act like a responsible adult.

When I got home, I immediately cleaned my shack, went grocery shopping, put away my movies, dusted, overall a quick spring cleaning. I even cleaned my car. I know, crazy right? I think I cleared out about 400 pounds of garbage and hauled it up the stairs to my 3rd floor apartment. Needless to say my car drives so differently.  She handles better, accelerates better, brakes better. Amazing. I think while this adult mood of mine lasts, I will create a to-do list and accomplish it. It feels good to accomplish things.

Today as I was sitting in the airport, a wave of sadness overcame me. When sitting in an airport, the scene from Dogma came to mind. Where they are both sitting at the airport watching the couples come on and off the planes to meet each other. How happy they were to see each other, and how unbeknown to each other, they had cheated on one another. It made me realize that with all the great times I had, I have noone to come home to share it with. Lame, but it got me thinking how I will share my good times with you, and I don’t have to worry about YOU cheating on me!
*also* I think YOU should leave me a comment so I know who YOU are.

That’s my coop a loop! One of my sisters many pets! She’s got 2 puppies, a birdie, fish and more fish! It really made me realize how irresponsible I am to actually be the parent of a dog, but it made me want a puppy that much more. My coop a loop is so adorable. Mercedes too ;) And Harvey(when he’s dancing by bouncing his head up and down, and talking about how he’s a pretty boy and wants a cracker) is pretty neato too!

I landed, entered my kings chamber, and just got acclimated to the weather in Houston. One word. MISERABLE. The humidity was horrendous, and I was told it wasn’t that bad actually, that I should have been there during July/August months. I’m not sure how anybody lives there, as soon as you walk outside it hits you like a semi-truck. Just bleh hitting you, in the face. Have you ever had bleh hit you in the face? I have, and it’s miserable.

We ate at a place called Lenny’s which is a sub shop and was super delicious, came home, had a great home cooked meal(Tacos, my favorite!) and called it a night. Believe it or not, I was tuckered out. I had to wake up super early that morning!

We woke up, got dressed and headed to downtown Houston. We went to Minute Maid Park, which is home to the Houston Astros, we saw the Toyota Center(Houston Rockets) and the main attraction for the day! The Aquarium/Hard Rock! I was stunned to see just how tall their buildings were. I will google it in a bit, and perhaps find out if I was just going crazy or if my eyes did see the truth. Houstons buildings looked incredibly tall compared to those of Denver’s. By double really. HUGE! I noticed, everything was spread out too whereas Denver seems very compact. Strange.

We walked around Minute Maid Park(go to flickr to see my photos), and then headed over to the Aquarium. The aquarium for Houston was the same creators of the one here in Denver, so it had the same look and feel, but completely different exhibits and atmosphere. I’d say they were both equal in that they both had great unique qualities that made them stand out. I liked Houstons alot better though. It seemed like they had alot more staff that cared about the animals that I could tell, it seemed like the atmosphere was more family/couple friendly and they wanted to make the trip an all day adventure.rather than just a 3 hour ordeal.

They had a beautiful tiger exhibit(again if you see my flickr photos you’ll see what I’m talking about). They had 4 tigers and they would switch them out, 2 by 2. They put pumpkins in their exhibit to play with and of course they both were very photogenic. Continue on and you’ll see a bunch of weird animals, a HUGE snake, tons of FISH, Lizards frogs ect … It was a great show. They have a train ride that takes you around the entire aquarium and basically takes you to the shark voyage which is basically a long tunnel that a train can travel through so you get a glimpse of the sharks as your sitting in this train. It was pretty spiffy! As you go around the park, you see other attractions, such as the ferris wheel and the Marry-go-round. I was a sport and decieded to do it, and after it was all said and done it wasn’t that bad, although I had white knuckles for my entire trip. So much so that I had to let my BFF James take all my photos for me.

We headed home, watched a bit of tv. Watched “Knocked Up” which I may critique later, and went to bed. Sunday was the Soccer game. It was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! What put the icing on the cake for me was, all the electronic signs on the major interstates were giving directions to the SOCCER game! Keep in mind, this is on sunday when the NFL should be predominant, but it seemed like soccer was the real deal in Houston. Regardless of which “culture” it addressed, it was still pretty cool to see soccer beating out football, in the states no less. Oh, it didn’t hurt we were all smoking hot with our sexy soccer gear. My BFF and I got our pictures taken with the Dynamo girls! They are incredibly attractive, beyond ridiculous. Oh, and at the halftime show they had the  “Real Men of Genius” do a skit for the Houston Dynamo Fan. HAHA, awesome.

Monday was just a relaxed day. Me and my sister went for a long hike, and I snapped a ton of photos along the way. Relaxed a bit, installed Amy’s spanish learning tools. There are a few cool free websites out(trymango.com, livemocha.com ect …) and I think she’s pretty intent on learning spanish. I am too! We’ll see if the adult in me can keep pace with a real adult(aka my sister). That night I watched my Buffalo Bills lose which felt like I was just murdered, and went to bed pretty late. Only to wake up early and head to the airport.

Which leads me back to coming home to just George. I do wish I had somebody who was serious in my life to come home to, but it seems like as of late the only ladies I’m ever attracted to are happily taken. I dunno, I am starting to feel like James Bond, “Your not my type”,”What, smart, beautiful, strong willed *insert a billion more awesome things about her*”,”No, your single”.

Speaking of George, he’s doing good. He’s a little mad at me, I think he ate all of his food the morning I left because when I got back, I put in a ton of crickets for him and he gobbled them all up. Not gobbled, nay, I meant to say he inhaled them!

I should be going to bed now, but before I do so, I will raise my mixed drink for a toast. Here is to George, may he forget about how hungry he is an eat hearty tonight, To my sister for taking such great care of me over the course of my life and even exceptional care for me over the past 4 days, and tomorrow. Let tomorrow’s sunrise bring forth a change in my life for the better, to the stage of responsible adulthood … or at least let me wake up early …. ok ok … at least let me wake up on time.

Hehe … you have to start somewhere right? Baby steps! Baby Steps!

Good night all.

All my work and endless measures never seen to get me very far. Walk a mile just to move an inch, even though I’m trying so hard

IAbout time! My Dynamo gear finally arrived just in the nick of time. I ordered all of my gear on Sept 16th, I know a magical day to say the least, and it finally got here today? Long story, basically my card didn’t go through because mls gear told me my card declined. Pretty Lame. I overnighted all 3 jerseys for my trip to Houston.

It’s coming quicker than I know. I’m sure it’ll be finished before I know it, but I’m really looking forward to it all.

Wow. Deja Vu. It’s coming quicker than I know and it’ll be done before I know, and I’m looking forward to it all. Doesn’t that just sum up life? For me it does … it’s spooky. I’m 23 years old, and it would seem like yesterday I was pretending to be a Ninja Turtle(good times, maybe another story later).

Anyways, Halo is beckoning me …. I hope everybody is doing well.

I’m walking a wire, it feels like a thousand ways I could fall

Tonight has been somewhat weird. It was an emotional night to say the least with the rockies game. I don’t think I have a voice right now. When we got 2 runs back, I thought for sure we were done, good game guys, great run. Even the bigger nail in the coffin I thought was the padres were bringing in their Hall Of Famer closer. No way we can get 2 runs …. whew! Great great game.

Go Rockies!

So, I did it. I shouldn’t have but I did it. I’ve been wanting to get a semi-pro camera and so I finally decieded to get out the ole credit card and pony up. I couldn’t wait any more. I’ve been taking a ton, and by a ton I do believe that”s an understatement, of pictures. Exciting times. Friday I’m leaving to Houston to see my sister. We are going to head to the aquarium, and to see the Dynamo vs LA Galaxy.

Awesome.

It’s going to be a great week. I just need to soak it all in, relax and focus.

Good Times.

Peace!
