It’s love at first sight, I saw her turn right, I saw her heading right for the aisle with ripened apples

I had plans on going to the mountains today. To go fishing. To go hiking. However something about my new plans on getting my new website up and running kept me from it. There is always tommorow I imagine. In fact, there is tommorow and that’s what I’ll be doing. I spent all day Friday afternoon working on my website, uploading photos to my new flicker account. It’s amazing how quickly my collection has grown over the years. Even more so amazing is this whole “blogging” thing I’ve been doing pretty consistantly for the past 5 years. Incredible how time flies. I renewed my subscription to ozweegoville.com and I’ve also added another, kcmerrill.com to the list as well. As I went through all my photos it made me smile. It’s been so incredible the past 5 years. Tons of great memories, hardships and such. Hence the reason for the new site.

Long story short, I’ve gone to a couple hynosis classes as of late and right before you get in your hypnotic state, your guide will always say “No invision a place where your the happiest, invision a place where your secure”.

Needless to say I found it.

Of course I’ve had it all along with ozweegoville and it made me think about how great my own “happy place” truly is. This photo I took on my trip to New York. This is actually on the docks in Burlington Vermont. Me and my father sat on this bench, we looked at each other not saying a word. Not wanting to ruin the moment.

It was a great moment. I was at peace and when I had gone through these photos to re-tag and re-upload them, I felt exactly the same as to when I had originally sat there. When I had originally taken this picture.

I decieded to make the new site a bit more cheerful. Who doesn’t get happy by being on a beach? I figured I look at my site the most, and I’m hoping that when I’m down and out, it’ll make me smile. Also, If you notice above, you’ll see quite a few open chairs. The neat thing is you can imagine whomever you want to be in those chairs along side you.

I long for the day when I can take this photograph myself. I wonder what I will think about, if anything. I wonder what emotions and feelings I would have. Complete relaxation I’m sure would top the list.

So, I couldn’t go to the mountains today given the whirlling about in my mind. So many neat things to accomplish with this. So many cool and neat things I’ve discovered over the past week that it made me want to re-evaluate my own code base and puruse more open source projects. Somebody else has already done the leg work, I might as well take advantage of it.

Here are a couple neat things I’ve found:
Flickr logo. If you click it, you'll go home
Flickr. It’s always been there, but it made me realize for a small fee of 20 bucks, they would host all my images. Tons of cool widgets and plugins for various websites, and the neat thing is they take care of all the bandwith and storage so I’m not putting strain on my website.

Flock. It’s a fork off of the famous firefox web browser however it’s geared more towards social networking, blogging ect. It’s integration with my new wordpress blog is seemless, it has a ton of cool new features for blogging. I can view instantly people’s flickr streams, it’s got a “My World” page so I can see at a quick glance any new updates. So many neat things to write, however the best way to describe it would be to go out and download it. www.flock.com

Twitter. Such a simple yet great idea. It’s basically a mini “status” of what your doing. It can be updated by your phone, via email or by the web and of the neat thing is it has an API so plugins and add-ons can be made for various websites(such as wordpress, blogger, facebook….)

Wordpress. I know what your thinking, it’s been out forever now. I know, but I’ve been so gung-ho about using my own blogging tool that I never realized how neat of an open source project it is. I’ve already started to develop my own add-ons and features for it. Awesome tool and I exported my old blog into RSS and it imported it like a champ. Kudos.

So, it would feel like I’ve moved to a new home and in a sense I have. I’m looking forward to the neat things I can find for all of this, and I’m also looking forward to the ride.

I need to be heading to bed. It’s 2AM and I’ve finally gotten to a point where I’m winding down, and it’s getting chilly outside.

Time for a hoodie.

I’ll leave you with a great song from single file:

Now if I could only get wordpress to post this o.0

Oh well, tommorows task.

Errrr …. or not.

Night all.

It’s love at first sight, I saw her turn right
I saw her heading right for the aisle with ripened apples
I stole a glance as she sorted through her bag but she caught me
Come on, stop being such a pussy . . .

I gotta move closer, go hide by the grocer
Examining naval oranges as I adore her
I know it’s coy, but hey that’s not the point
I can’t help it, and oh man . . .

If you only knew half the things I wanna do
Let’s trade this store for the silence of my room

This is the story of my life
This isn’t healthy, but it’s something
And it’s all that i can get
