I feel old. Then again, I’m getting old … In 6 or so months I’ll be turning 23. It’s so depressing.
It’s been a while since I last posted. For good reason too, most of which I’ll explain, until then, this is where the curtain draws, the lights dim, and Beethoven’s 8th Symphony starts to play.
Exciting isn’t it?
Ok, not really … it seems like the farther I try to distance myself from drama, the faster it chases me and the more I fight it off, the closer it gets.
For starters, Wednesday night after work we went to get some drinks and stupid me forgot my keys in my backpack. I went to D&B for a bit, had a few more drinks and pretty much wasted 20 bucks at the stupid Qix machine. Damn that game! It’s so addicting, and I think that’s when it hit me that I"m getting old. I love the qix game, and yet it’s age is 3years older than me. Sad isn’t it? I feel I need a walker … Moving along, I came home, half intoxicated and was going to have to sleep in my car. Luckily Jess came to the rescue. AKA, came home.
That was a horrible night to say the least. That morning, I almost choked to death on a chicken bone. Yea, that was embarrassing.
This weekend however was pretty fun. I went to fort fun to see AdamZ0r. We played wii bowling which is a blast, and we also went to see 300. Let me just say that 300 was a FANTASTIC movie! I’m ready to go see it again actually …
What else?
Oh, and I dusted off the bike and took it out today, and let me be the first to say that I’m exhausted, out of shape, and ready to get back into the regular swing of things on the bike. It was really nice actually being able to smell in the heavy tree line and the water from Chatfield … Minus the nats, I miss everything about my bike ride. Today I took it some what easy and I’m glad I did. It kicked my butt big time. I still finished strong which I was surprised. Only because biking on the trainer and in the weight room is completely different then the open trail. In the weight room and on the trainer, it’ll push you to your limits then stop. On an actual trail, it’ll push you to your limits, laugh at you, and make you do it over again 30 more times.
I also got a nice 80$ ticket for my expired tags today, I know, I’m a bad person, but hey … they stuck it to me pretty good so I figured were even by now.
I’ve also come to the conclusion that I want to get a kitty for my next apartment. I really want a dog, but don’t think it would be wise given the nature of the beast, and my inability to be at home 24/7. So maybe a kitty? Who knows …
Only time will tell … until then, I’ll leave you with a great song by a band called Rufio. And YES, it’s okay to have blogs that ONLY have lyrics … just so long you don’t o it all the time
Gone again she said
heading for the longest road
One too many times
He’s beaten you down to the bone
So you sail away
into the unknown
Stay away he said
Don’t ever come back home
Cry away
the days that last so long
All alone
Just stay away
Stay away
Weakened from the pain
that he left inside your heart
Fallin’ in the rain
cause your whole life has fall’n apart
So you sail away
into the unknown
Stay away he said
Don’t ever come back home
Cry away
the days that last so long
All alone
Just stay away
Alone, she cries
Filled with hate inside
No love, no life
Without that loser who once said
"Here’s your kiss goodbye"
See this is real
She doesn’t feel
Lonely hearts
Shattered dreams
There’s nothing better in this place
Nothing but memories
in your mind
Sail away
into the unknown
Stay away he said
Don’t ever come back home
Cry away
the days that last so long
On the road
you sail away
Alone, she cries
Filled with hate inside
No love, no life
Without that loser who once said
"Here’s your kiss goodbye"
Alone, she cries
Filled with hate inside
No love, no life
Without that loser who once said
"Here’s your kiss goodbye"
