Time …

So I’ve finally gathered enough time to go ahead and write in my journal. It’s only been a few days however it feels as if it’s been weeks. Well, just to update my fanclub. Things are going exceptionally well. As for my social life of course it’s been better then… err better Me and jo are doing very well. We usually find time to go out to eat as often as possible together. Just me and her. Then the excellent about our relationship is that everybody enjoys each other’s company! I enjoy hers and she(hopefully) hehe enjoys mine. On top of that, my roomates don’t have a problem inviting her over to watch movies with us! I like to watch movies in groups like that. It gives me and everybody that matter just time to sit back and relax. I like that. Time spent with jo and my roomates is limited becuase of school and work however the time spent with any of the above is excellent. I honestly couldn’t ask for anything better right now.

Work … errr .. work is work. However I did end up getting some time alone with me and my boy. My gameboy advanced that is! "Ah thank you" ~ Austin Powers. hehe, anywho … I bought some fun games and it makes work go by exceptionally fast. That and of course that jo comes to visit me for lunch. Usually me, jo and my roomate jess go to lunch 3 out of 5 days. We go to mcdonalds or even chipolte. Chipolte has burritos the size of my pillows and we get them at a good discount becuase we work for dish. It’s an awesome deal either way. Good food and company.

You’d be surprised how much my love for movies has grown over the last year and a half. I usually buy previously viewed dvd’s at a huge discounted price. Not regularly but enough. Its my peace of mind. My safehaven to watch movies and just to relax. Type on my computer. You know … the normal. It’s a good thing though that everybody around me shares my passions. I think for once I absolutly love where I’m at.

Anyways … back to work. My day goes by faster now with my gameboy. I play pacman, tetris etc … Also I play madden 2004. Football. Cannot go wrong with football! As for work my supivisor told me that he has never written an annual review for anybody like mine. He said in the past 5 years he’s never given anybody a 5 on their review however I earned 2! Doesn’t sound like anything but it’s still a good deal … I can expect 50cents up to 2$ pay raise. On top of that, I hear you can be promoted on your annual review. Everybody’s review is coming up in February wether you’ve been with the company for 6 months or 10 years. My end goal would be a QA Specialist. Monitoring phone calls making sure people are doing their jobs, or working for command center. I outscored alot of the people the last time I went for that position however I didn’t have enough experience within the company so I didn’t get the job the first time. Bleh. Oh well … my time is coming. I had to learn this the hard way with the ladies. hehe, Oh well. Be patient and the rewards will come back 10 fold I suppose.

As for school … I can’t remember a time when I was this excited to wake up at 7 in themorning to go to an early programming class. Well, minus my first day of school mind you. These classes are so fasinating. I have a real feeling of excitment and on top of that a real sense of challenge! My goal is to learn as much as I can with directX in order to make great things. The possibilities are endless with directX. Not just with video games. It’s weird. I am taking a bachelors level class using a 600+ page book with other bachelor level students. On the other hand I am also taking intro classes with students that have never even attended my school ever. So it’s really intresting looking at the students. Seeing where I once was and to where I am. Want a taste for he classes I have to take?

– Game Analysis & Playability

My 3D Game Animation is my tough class. My other two classes I thought would be SOMEWHAT cheesy but they are actually pretty intresting classes. We’ll see. I havn’t taken to many of these classes yet however I am at the point where I want to be at school right now. I think I’m so excited is because I am actually able to program real Win32 Applications rather then dos based. Very very intresting feeling. I’m not speaking VB style programming either. Hard Coding in Win32. Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up! Ok … I’m a code monkey, what can I say?

I should be going though. I am trying to think up new versions of OzweegoVille. And of course I need to do somehomework. It’s 1 Oclock, and I havn’t even started. Oh yea, did I forget to mention I have to wake up at 7am? Hmmm …. hehe …
