Ok … so I was watching tv today on my day off … haha yea right. I had mandatory OT today. Bleh. Anywho .. watching tv and I see a cable commercial out today that states www.onlycablecan.com. I won’t even give them the benifit of the doubt to make it a clickable link. If you are going to represent your product, do it truthfully. Don’t make up stupid things to make you look better. Look at the facts and facts alone. So I’m surfing this website and found a link at the top that says "The truth about the dish". So yea … lets begin the rebutts shall we? I’ve read them all .. and beileve me … maybe one or two they have a point but you’ll soon shall see. So sit back and listen up.

Why do I have to sign a contract just to watch tv?

Because you are getting free equipment! Most people that have services usually do end up keeping it for at least 12 months anyways to "test the water"

Why do I have to buy the equipment myself?
Why do you have to buy a blender to make a margurita(sp?)To get the product. Besides you have a "renting" fee each month with cable.

Why isn’t free really free?

"Ask how free your equipment is if you ever decide to disconnect? …" 240$ cancellation fee. But the money you save even if you disco would be still considerably less if you went with comcast(more in a bit).

Can I get that awesome new ON-DEMAND television service?

No, you can get a dvr service which is exactly the same thing. Just diffrent wording. Besides the only reason satallites have it is because of the fact cable has it. Pointless almost.

How is that high-speed internet service coming along?

Ok ok .. probably only thing they can brag about. Dish once had a service called starband that went bankrupt but now we’ve got a partnership for dsl which is compariable to cable only if your in an area that has dsl, same goes for cable though … wow, almost even there, no bragging rights even.

How can I get my favorite local stations in high-definition

Ummmm …. with an off air antenna bolted on my roof. That’s how. And minus the price of the antenna(usually built into the reciever) you don’t have to pay any additional fees. And besides, I couldn’t find out how many local channels they have in high definition.

Why can I watch some local stations but not others?

Legal Issues. However Dish provides over 70% of customers with locals and the other 30% are in areas that are basically next to broadcasting towers. No need paying for something that’s free where as with cable locals only on one tv is at about 15 bucks.

Why do I have to pay more money to use high-definition tv set

High def is so new anyways that usually only the richer part of the united states has it anyways, no skin off their backs. As for what cable says "National satellite tv companies charge extra fees for HD programming. And just about everything else "extra" that you might want". Well usually extra does mean more money. Take cars. You want that cd player that does not come standard, you pay extra, but you don’t question it do you? Besides .. cable has this same ideology so this point is useless.

Can I hook up a couple more tv sets in the hosue for free?

Yes it does require an extra cost, however so does cable. Yet again this fact is useless. If you have more then one tv in your home with cable, not only is that illegal if you do not pay for it but it’s also signal fade, meaning your already poor analog reception will be then dithered to your other tvs in the home.

Come on cable … think of something better ….

LOL. This is too funny. What does this even have to do with the diffrences between satallite providers and cable? Besides … dish network contacts local retailers in every area of the United States and if they are not part of the local communites … then … uh … I don’t know what is.

I’ve been listening to this song for quite some time now and I definetly do like it. I like the music video even better. It’s one of those don’t go to bed mad or upset becuase you don’t know what tommorow holds. I like it.

Speaking of music. I like all sorts of music. Take my last mix of cd’s I have. Black eyed peas, 3 doors down, Genuwine, Navy pep Band("anchors away") see … all sorts. But one band that I’ve come to the conclusion of that I can listen to every cd, every song and either relate, enjoy or even like would be disturbed. Probably not my favorite band but definetly I like their music. I definetly like them.

So wow … it’s almost 3:00am and I’m not even tired. I suppose this christmas break has gotten to me. I’ve been spoiled. Nothing excpet work. Which is going decent enough I suppose. Not to shabby. I don’t hate my job anymore now that I’m making super bucks. You’d be surprised at how much 100$ extra a paycheck will go(I’m back at full time now ) and on top of that all of this holiday pay, well with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years and all …

I’m trying to think of what else to write … geesh. You’d think the lack of my updates I’ve have tons to write about but honestly I don’t. Things are going great in my life for once and I couldn’t ask for anything more. Maybe a job in my field but I’m only 19, I think I can hold off on the job of my dreams and unfortunatly my Corvette for a few more years … hehe.

Well as a christmas gift for myself I think I am going to buckle down and buy a game boy advance sp with Either Madden 2003 or Crash nitro cart as my first game. I usually play my friends at work but decieded my day would go by quicker at work if I was to get one. So I will buy one and hopefully it won’t be a waste of money. Oh well…. I don’t think it’ll be and if it does at least I can sell it back to these game stop stores for about 75% of what I bought it for! Which is pretty neat so I’m not everything if I end up hating it. Oh well … we’ll see. I will wait for my next paycheck. Speaking of which .. I need to send out my parents money …. hmmmm …..

Ok .. so it’s not quite yet christmas but it’s coming up. I’m debating on going to bed now or waiting until 12:01 to open up my christmas gifts. Hehe. Technically it’s christmas. I don’t know. Highly doubtful. I’m pretty tired. But let me explain my day today …

So I get out of bed … pretty early at about 10:30. Hey for my day off .. that’s pretty early! But anyways .. Went ot walmart to get some wallpaper and when I came out, WOW, that’s all I can do to describe it. About a 3 car pile up about 50 feet from my car :S I parked out in the boonies too! Anyways, all ok there … -wipes sweat from brow- So I got in my car and of course my ingenuity(sp?) took flight. So let me explain my situation so you can see. I’m in my car, in front of me totally blocked with the cars of the pileup and behind me a line of cars as far as the eye can see. I had one empty spot in front of me and two empty parking spots to the right of me. So of course the wait time would have been about 25 minutes had I waited and been patient. But as impatient as I am … I managed to get through! I did a 3 point turn in my little area … went down the lane(there was enough space for 2 lines of cars) and I went all the way around walmart, down the service entrance in the back .. took a right on the main road and whola … guess who is out of the parking in 3 minutes! OH YEA!!! That would be me and betsie … my lady! I love that car … -sighs-

Anyways … I don’t want to share what I got for whom and why. I feel horrible. I cant afford nearly as much as I would have liked to have however I had to make due. I feel rotten but I feel alot better this year than last. Last year I didn’t get anybody anything nor could I get myself anything. I was flat broke. This year however was alot nicer. I liked this year however my gift for my sister I feel was lacking. That poor lady. I love her to death and I had no idea what to get her. I hate getting gift cards for people …. I hate it.

So what else is new. Oh yea .. you’ll probably notice that the layout has changed quite a bit lately. Ok, so not so much this website but the next two. I can’t seem to make up my mind. But anybody that knows me knows this as well. I just don’t know how to make a good quality layout. Oh well .. we’ll see. One thing thatis super cool I’m working on is my forum. I’ve come up with a unique styling of code which I actually enjoy working with. Basically anything I do now that is coded I use %%bgcolor%% or something of that nature and just use a string replace. Very easy to do and makes a coding sample that much more powerful and customizable. By changing the way I’ve coded everything I just have a template folder and whola. Presto and your up and running. So I will be emplimenting it just as soon as I a finished working on it. One thing I’ve noticed alot latley is (other then websites) I usually tend to complete and make 100% useable codes that I create. So stay tuned to the downloads and tutorials section

I dont’ think I mentioned but hopefully I can have something up and running here shortly that will enable me to put up a coding sample each time I post in my journal so that way my collection can grow …. and grow …. and grow So we’ll see.

I should be going though. Today is christmas and I am heading to bed for work tommorow. Yes, I said work … work=bleh but oh well. I’ll rough it and tough it out. So until we speak again all ..

What’s on tv now? The 5th element. An awesome movie. "Lilu dallas multipass …. multipass, lilu dallas mutlipass YES SHE KNOWS IT’S A MULTIPASS!" ——– "Sir do you classify yourself as human, negative, I am a meat popsicle" HAHAHHAHAHAHA. That is soooo funny! Lol. I crack myself up. anyways…. just looking at what to do now. I am working on my new website. Basically this website will be geared more towards tutorials and downloads etc of open_source_code. Obviously the journal will still be there but a ton of cooler stuff. Better forum and updating etc … anyways. Look for those changes. I like how things are being geard though. Everything is customizable. All I have to do is create a template and -POOF-. It works …..

X-Mas is coming and the goose is getting fat, please put a penny in the old man’s hat. Ok … so christmas is coming and I’m rather disturbed. I was originally told that I would have wensday and thrusdays off however now they tell me it’s tuesday’s and wensdays. Meaning new years day and christmas day I have to work when I had originally thought I would have gotten those days off. Grrrrr …. oh well. That’s a bummer but not really alot I can do. Tommorow or the day after I plan on sending out my sisters gift as well as my parents. I would tell you what I got everybody but then I might ruin the surprise. Maybe I’ll wait until after and tell you my "steller" gift that I’ve bought people. -HINT HINT- hehe …. I hope that everybody has gotten their gifts ready or at least ready to send out so that way it’ll be on time and what not. Nothing is worse then having gifts ready and not able to to recieve them on time. Grrr…. I hope that doesn’t happen to me :S hehe. I plan on sending them out in a day or two so I should be ok.

As for work. Work is doing good. Seeing as the past few days I’ve not had to work all that hard, today was good. The past week I’ve been in training. Winback training. Basically if you want to disconnect your services you call in and then get transfered to an "account specialist". That’s me. A highly trained individual. Ok, probably not that confidant but I should be anyways. I’m just nervous. I don’t want people calling in complaing after complaining after complaing. More and more and more … It’s hopeless to try and change the invevitable however I’d surley like to. That’s one thing that is constant is change. I like that quote. The training provided a ton of quotes that I really liked. Maybe I can dig some up and post them. Quotes that are not only properly worded but also quotes that will make you think. I like that ….

I’m getting excited. Only a few days left of school. Tommorow will be nice. I get to sleep in. I aced my interview at school so that means that I get to just bypass the class from here on out. The 17th is my final day of classes. Good feeling knowing that I will have an associates for my Christmas gift to myself. Hard work does pay off. It was intresting. During the uptraining at work the final slide show presentation showed achievement and what we’ve accomplished. I’ve accomplished a ton in my life. Everybody says I should be proud of what I’ve done and where I’m going. That in itself made me feel warm and fuzzy. But anyways, the thing I was going with that was people in my training classes have their goals all backwards. Also we were suppose to define success. Some people wished to be better parents then their loved ones ex-s(if that makes sense). Others wished to be rich by a certain age. My goal. I realised that my goal was to be happy, if I could be happy that would be success enough for me. Nothing better in life then to be happy right? Corvettes, money, loved ones, goood goals and achievments … all of that leads to happiness one way or another right?

I don’t know what prompted that. I should be heading off now. I apologise for not writing more or as often. However I honestly did write a beefy paragraph the other night however I forgot to put in my paragraph and everything went up into smoke! I often wonder how many times that have happened. I tried to go back in and write the same thing I intitallly wanted to write about however it’s just not the same the second time around :S Oh well … maybe I should repgram that or something? hehe … I should be off now. The 5th element is on … are we green? Super green!
